London Eye: The best views in London
If you want to get a fantastic view over London you won´t forget to visit London Eye.
Located in the South Bank area, this amazing attraction (135 m height) offers you one of the most astonishing views of the city of London. Built in 2000 it was the tallest Ferris wheel of the world until 2006, when it was surpassed by the Star of Nanchang (160 meters height) located in China.

London´s Natural History Museum: Fun for everyone
Here you have our first recommendation regarding museums that you can´t miss in London. The history and evolution of dinosaurs, the development of the earth, human biology, these are some of the greatest discoveries that you may find in this museum located in Cromwell Road. The tower of London
No one can dispute that The Tower of London is one the city´s landmarks. This impressive historic complex dates from 1066. The white Tower after which the complex is named, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078.
Although this complex has several uses, it was well known as a prison, especially along the XVI and XVII centuries.
But, apart from that, the Tower of London was also used as an armoury, treasury, public records office and, of course, as home of the Crown Jewels of England.

The Koh-i-Noor
Nowadays this magnificent diamond is set in the Crown of Queen Elisabeth The Queen Mother. A 108 carat diamond, Koh-i-Noor comes from the Indian region of Andhra Pradesh. After belonging to several governors from India, Persia or Afghanistan, among others, was finally included in Britain´s Crown Jewels after Queen Victoria was proclaimed Empress of India in 1877.

London´s Big Ben
The Big Ben is one of the most representative images of London´s House of Parliament in Westminster Palace.
The tower where the Big Ben is set was built in the second half of the nineteen century, under a Neo Gothic style. The famous watchmaker Edward John Dent was responsible for the construction of the clock that still nowadays is famous for being one of the most precise clocks of the world.
Neasden Temple
In northwest London is located the Neasden Temple(BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir) one of the most important Hindu temples of Europe.
In 2000 it was elected the biggest Hindu temple of the world outside India. And also it is a completely traditional construction as it was built thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of volunteers that brought the original material form India.
Within the temple you will enjoy not only the space in itself but also a permanent exhibition and a cultural centre.
The admission is free, except for the visit to the permanent exhibition, and taking into consideration that you are entering a sacred place, there are some rules that must be followed.
Tower Bridge
Finally we are going to close this selection with other of London´s landmarks, Tower Bridge.
This bridge, built between 1886 and 1894, crosses the Tames river and it is located close to the Tower of London.
You can enjoy a very interesting exhibition that explains the system of elevated walkways that worked in the bridge until 1910.
You can visit Tower Bridge from 10 to 18 ( April to September) and from 9.30 to 17.30 (October to March)
